We are seeking a Design & Project Administrator to support our Project Managers by managing the front-end planning, documentation, and coordination that keeps projects moving efficiently from concept through construction start.
Responsibilities:
- Support Project Managers during the pre-construction phase to ensure projects are fully prepared for execution.
- Coordinate schedules, budgets, estimates, and documentation prior to project kickoff.
- Assist with subcontractor outreach, bid tracking, and proposal comparisons.
- Review plans, specifications, and scopes of work for completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare project handoff packages to ensure a smooth transition from pre-construction to construction.
- Track approvals, selections, permits, and pre-start requirements.
- Communicate with internal teams, designers, architects, and vendors to resolve pre-construction issues.
- Maintain accurate and organized project records using construction management software.
- Identify potential risks early and flag issues before they impact schedules or budgets.
Qualifications:
- Three or more years of experience in pre-construction, project coordination, estimating, or construction administration.
- Strong understanding of residential construction processes and sequencing.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with construction management software (JobTread, BuilderTrend, CoConstruct, or similar).
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple active projects.
- Trustworthy, accountable, and professional.
- Construction or estimating background preferred, but not required.
What We Offer:
- Full-time position.
- Competitive salary range of $65,000 to $75,000, based on experience.
- Two weeks of paid vacation per year.
